A private garden designed for a successful businessman and his family in Surrey using high quality natural travertine stone paving and through colour rendered walls.

James worked on the original concept proposals, tailoring the design as required to suit client feedback and requirements.  Detailed design information was drafted to allow Bowles & Wyer to enter into a successful design and build contract, culminating in the company wining numerous BALI awards in 2010 and the Grand Award for best scheme that year.

The judges described the scheme, that included complex levels and terraces, as well as two water features, as “an exercise in perfection”, adding that it was “a great design and a fantastic installation.”

​

The project was also singled out for praise in the special Design and Build award – the first time in nearly 30 years that BALI have honoured one company with both the Grand Award and Design and Build awards in the same year.
