Manor Barn, Milton Keynes
A modern barn conversion in Milton Keynes old village requiring full landscape re-design and construction service.
This project was a combined team effort with colleagues at Bowles & Wyer across the design construction & aftercare departments.
The garden represents a big commitment for the owners and they had to be sure they were making the right decision for them and their future enjoyment of the space. When it came to discussing possible value engineering options the client simply said 'you have done such a great job on the design that we don't want to take anything out'.
This project demonstrates how working patiently and collaboratively with the clients can bring the best results and job satisfaction, it's not all about quick results, the old adage 'good things come to those who wait' can certainly be applied here.
A combination of Dutch Schellevis concrete paving and Belgium Vande Moortel brick pavers form the core materials for a crisp and contemporary finish.
New driveway gates, lighting, irrigation and extensive tree and herbaceous planting provided the finishing touches.
This project was designed whilst working for Bowles & Wyer
