The Trooper

An unusual project in the popular village of Aldbury. The scheme involved the renovation of the existing 17th Century public house The Valiant Trooper, bringing it up to modern standards. The existing courtyard garden was re-designed to provide upgraded external space in between the pub, a proposed café in an existing outbuilding and a new farm shop and deli.

The rear section of the plot includes a small kitchen garden with raised oak beds for growing produce for use in the farm shop and pub. Generous areas of seating, planting, a play house, and water features have been woven into the design.
