Regents Park Garden

The client asked for a restrained design to maximise their small plot and provide an opportunity for outdoor entertaining and relaxation in the finer months of the year.  High quality materials and finishes were required, in keeping with the context of the site.  Our scope covered refurbishing the front entrance planters and landscaping of the entire rear garden.

The heart of the design incorporated a large sawn York stone paved lounge terrace, Vande Moortel brick paved stepping stone pads and gravel infill.  This provided space for a gas fire table and BBQ, complete with garden lounge furniture.

All existing planting apart from a characterful mature cherry tree was removed to allow room for a new scheme to work with the design.  A key aspect of the new soft landscaping scheme involved the careful selection, and craning in (over the mews house) a new mature Magnolia tree circa 4m high.

The scheme has been subtly lit by a range of light fittings mounted cleverly within paving or hidden within planting to up light key features and trees.

This project was designed whilst working for Bowles & Wyer
